Job Description/Requirements:

This company is seeking a CGSB Certified Level 2 UT and MT Inspector for full time work out of our Cambridge Ontario office. Work consists of weld inspection on fabrications (gears, housings, frames, bridges, etc) at customer shops. Duties will include:

- Setting up and calibrating NDT equipment
- Performing NDT inspections according to applicable procedures, codes and standards
- Evaluating indications in accordance with acceptance criteria listed in applicable specifications or standards
- Providing clear and concise field reports to the customer

The candidate must possess at a minimum:

- CGSB Level 2 Certification in UT and MT; additional CGSB and CWB certifications are an asset
- Valid Driver’s License and Personal Vehicle
- Ability to work responsibly and productively with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and customer relation skills

Position Summary:

Candidates for NDT Inspector Level 2 will possess the skills and knowledge to perform all the duties of a trainee and can also independently inspect parts, make evaluations, perform required process tests and document results. Selected candidates as a Level 2 Inspector will be expected to perform evaluations on parts produced using fluorescent penetrant inspection (FPI) techniques or fluorescent magnetic particle inspection (MAG) to determine and detect defects that may compromise the integrity or quality of the part.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

· Examines parts under fluorescent or black lighting to detect surface defects under the direction of a Level 3 NDT Inspector using one of two methods: FPI (Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection) or (MAG) Magnetic Particle Inspection.

· Reviewing and assimilating work instructions relating to cleaning, etching, dwell/develop operations, inspection criteria, and record results.

· Provide detailed information concerning processing techniques, findings, evaluation of indications, and part condition/disposition recommendations.

· Set up and calibrate equipment, conduct tests using equipment and interpret, evaluate, and document inspection results.

· Perform receiving inspections (before processing) as needed and immediately report any damage or discrepancy.

· Cleaning and etching of production parts in preparation for inspections.

· Application and removal of Fluorescent Penetrant Dye, dwell and develop process
