Job Description/Requirements:

Our Asset Integrity Management Group (AiM-Intertek Can) is currently seeking to contract professionals to perform inspection for clients engaged in construction, maintenance and/or operation of facilities, welded structures, piping & vessels. We are currently seeking technicians certified to Can/CGSB 48-9712, (Levels 1, 2, CEDOs & Trainees) who are residing in or will relocate to the Fort St John BC Area.

Hours of work will vary from “long term scheduled shifts, camp accommodation” to short notice “call out” with overtime shifts to meet production and start-up deadlines.
• Can execute site work in accordance with procedures
• Able to prepare status/Inspection reports with strong computer skills, ie. Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook).
Additional assets considered desirable:
• Training/Certification to API, NACE, CWB, IRATA/Sprat
• Understanding of Conventional & Advanced Inspection technology used in the industry
• Working knowledge of ASME Sec VIII, V, B31.1/ B31.3 Codes

• Able to obtain security clearances for various nuclear sites.
• Able to travel, work extended hrs & shift work.
• With excellent mechanical skills to oversee NDE field tasks & perform hands on technical support for equipment set up, operations & troubleshooting.
• Can execute site work in accordance with procedures
• Able to prepare status/Inspection reports with strong computer skills, ie. Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook).

Additional assets considered desirable:
• CAN/CGSB 48-9712 Certification to levels 1 or 2, for ET-UT Methods
• Understanding of NDE technology used in the industry (digital controlled, measuring instruments, equipment software, etc.) Some UT Phased Array experience
• CWB W178.2/AWS CWI Certification
• Some working knowledge of CSA Z 266.2 ASME Sec VIII, V, B31.1/B31.3 Codes
• Engineering Degree or Welding/Engineering Technologist Diploma
