After an extensive national search the Canadian Institute for Non-destructive Evaluation (CINDE) is pleased to announce that Mr. Glenn Tubrett will join the organization as interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on April 25, and assume full CEO responsibilities on July 31, 2016.

Mr. Tubrett graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering degree (Electrical) from Memorial University of Newfoundland, and has 20+ years of work experience in senior executive positions with the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Group. His national and international assignments include working with volunteer members in different forums to facilitate stakeholder engagement and develop government relations while improving conformity assessment standards.

Glenn is eager to work with the CINDE Board of Directors, volunteers, members, training partners, and the full-time staff to advance the training programs, certification test center and other member services provided by CINDE as Canada’s national NDT society. He enthuses that, “CINDE is a national and global leader in NDT and we will continue to develop and enhance the organization on behalf of our stakeholders, members, and the NDT community at large.”

Fulvio Mini, the Chair of CINDE’s Long Range Planning Committee and the CEO Search Committee, sees a bright future ahead for CINDE, commenting that “Glenn’s technical background and knowledge of standard developing organizations will certainly be an asset to our organization. Combined with his management expertise I have the utmost confidence that CINDE will thrive under his leadership so that NDT professionals continue to think of CINDE first as they start and enhance their careers.”

Kevin Woit, the National Chair of CINDE, praises Mr. Mini and the Search Committee, stating “We were fortunate to have Fulvio Mini, Thomas Krause, David Craig, and Mike Connachan - all members of the CINDE Board of Directors, and also Dennis Domenichini who is a Past Chair of CINDE - working on the CEO succession project. We also benefited from the expertise of our search consultants Cynthia Coulis (Kendall Consulting) and Rebecca Heaslip (Leadership Insight Inc.) whose advice during the selection process was invaluable". Larry Cote, the current CEO who will step down on July 31 adds, “My sincere thanks go to everyone involved; the commitment and generous dedication of their time and energy was truly impressive!”
