We started the summer months off with a technical session on, “Non-Destructive Testing in the Repair and Maintenance of Gas Turbine Components” presented by Paul Lowden at Liburdi Engineering in Dundas. Attendance was fabulous. After the presentation, we were taken on a tour of the turbine blade manufacturing facility. The tour guides; Doug Nagy, Robert Owles and Jonathan Joannides were very informative and patient with all the questions that were answered along the way. I would like take this opportunity to thank Paul and the staff for taking time out of their busy day to make all attendees feel very welcome. Liburdi also manufactures automated welding cells under the Dimetrics brand name. Included below are a few pictures of the tour.
Congratulations to our door prize winners; Mike Nicholas, Zengping (Rick) Yu, Ken Secord, Ed Voyer and Tajammal Ahmad. We look forward to seeing you on our upcoming sessions.
