Key responsibilities are:

Hands-on support of all site pre-deployment activities.
Execute site work in accordance with all procedures.
Perform or oversee NDE tasks in the field.
Prepare inspection procedures and MITP's.
Assemble, test, and refurbish equipment prior to site deployment.
Verify/validate equipment and procedures prior to site deployment.
Assist in training.
Prepare or review procedures.
Provide hands-on technical support for equipment set-up, operation, and troubleshooting.
Oversee work of tradespersons. Ensure site work is executed in accordance with safety requirements, procedures, and inspection plans.

Qualifications:

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance in order to gain access to nuclear power plant sites (OPG/BP).
Diploma in a mechanical or NDE discipline or equivalent related experience.
CGSB UT Level II certification is required.
PAUT (Phased array ultrasonic testing) certification is a plus.
Other NDE examination (MT, PT and/or ECT) is an asset.
Excellent mechanical skills.
Extensive site work/travel (up to 60%).
Requires shift work and extended work hours.

Responsibilities

• Interpret RT films and reports and resolve related problems

AUT/PAUT & RT Technicians required for 2-3 years’ new construction pipeline work in Canada, starting in the fall of 2020. Alberta will have some work with the majority of work in BC, East of Kitimat & additional work starting west of Jasper all the way to Chilliwack, BC.
