FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

April 10, 2023

Edmonton, Alberta—IR Supplies and Services is pleased to announce its recent partnership with Vermon NDT, manufacturer of phased array probes for the non-destructive testing industry.

Vermon NDT is privately owned by Vermon SA. They have been defining the phased array probe state of the art since 1984. Since that time, they have supported countless applications in a variety of industries worldwide. Vermon currently manufactures their NDT line of probes in Walhalla, South Carolina. Along with their standard line of probes, they also build advanced custom arrays to customer specifications.

“We’re always on the lookout to partner with great brands that will meet our clients’ needs,” proclaimed Robbie VanHoek, vice president of IR.  “We continue to expand our product line for ultrasonic testing, and the products Vermon NDT offer are a natural fit.  Quality is an imperative for us, and their product delivers on that.”

As the exclusive distributor of Vermon NDT in Canada, IR is positioned to strengthen its already deep offering of ultrasonic products.  “While IR had its beginnings in radiography, we have been supplying our UT clients for several years now”, Heather Addley of IR explains.  “The Vermon NDT product line gives those clients another great option that will help to enhance their businesses.  We’re proud to add it as another solution that we offer.  In fact, we have over $100,000 worth of probes in stock at our Edmonton location, ready for immediate shipping.  We believe in the product that much.”

Matt Skinner, NDT sales manager for North America, commented on the new partnership.  “We are thrilled to have IR Supplies and Services as our exclusive distributor in Canada.  I have had the pleasure of working with IR since it was established in 2004 and had been working with members of their team for many years before that.  Vermon NDT focuses our resources on manufacturing what clients want, and IR focuses on delivering what clients want, so it’s really a perfect match.  We are very grateful to have such a strong presence in Eastern and Western Canada.”
