Important Notice:

Safety shoes are mandatory for all laboratory work. It is a policy of the Canadian Institute for NDE that all students must wear safety shoes or boots during any practical lab sessions. If safety shoes are not worn, admission to the lab will be prohibited and you will not be allowed to participate in any practical activity. We advise all our customers to adhere to this safety requirement in order to avoid unnecessary costs of rescheduling.

2.Course Fees: Pre-registration is required for all courses and workshops. Registration must be accompanied by full course fee or company purchase order, payable to: Canadian Institute for NDE.
Personal cheques, Mastercard, VISA, American Express and direct debit are accepted. Registration will not be confirmed until payment of course fees have been received (or signed contract from sponsor to hold the spot with full fee due on the first day of each training program). Student certificates will be withheld until full payment for the program has been received. All course fees are in Canadian funds. All courses are delivered in English.

Official Receipt: An official receipt for course fees will be forwarded to each student with the course certificate. This should be retained for income tax purposes.

Unless otherwise noted, all programs, seminars, etc., are held at CINDE's Head Office in Hamilton (Mohawk College, Fennell Campus).

6.Parking: Applicable for Head Office location only!
Parking passes must be obtained on the first morning of your program. They can be purchased at the P4 parking kiosk (attendant on duty) or at the parking booth close to TP7 (booth unattended). The parking machines accept cash only, exact change (it is recommended to bring $1 and $2 coins or $5 and $10 bills ... also the machine does not give change or the option to use credit cards). Once purchased, the parking pass must be displayed in the windshield of your car.
  • $15.00 per day
  • $75.00 per month (day school) - for 2 week programs, a monthly pass can be purchased from the Parking Office in Room C103 of Mohawk College, but please note that the office does not open until 8:30 a.m. so it is recommended to purchase a daily parking pass on the first Monday of your class to avoid a parking ticket
  • $43.00 per semester (night school)
7.Cancellations/ Transfers: All course cancellations must be done in writing. You may use our online course cancellation form to submit your cancellation request, or fax us your contact information and the course name & date you registered for.
Please note that a cancellation fee will apply, based on the following schedule:
7.1 Courses:
If you are registered on a CINDE course and are unable to attend, please notify us as soon as possible as other applicants may be waiting for this course. Substitutions can be made at no cost to you. The following cancellation/transfer policy applies:

· More than 2 weeks notice (11 business days)$50.00
· Less than 2 weeks notice (10 business days or less)75% refund

7.2 PCC Registered Courses:
Note: For individuals registering as a vocational program the Canadian Institute for NDE follows the requirements as outlined by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, in the "Statement of Student Rights and Responsibilities".

If you are registered on a CINDE course and are unable to attend, please notify us as soon as possible as other applicants may be waiting for this course. The following cancellation/transfer policy applies:

· More than 2 weeks notice (11 business days)$50.00
· Less than 2 weeks notice (10 business days or less)20% penalty
· Cancellation/Withdrawal during first 5 days of course20% plus daily rate penalty

7.3 Workshops and practical exams:
Scheduling of laboratory facilities for workshops and practical examinations require payment within twenty-four hours of booking. Confirmation will only be accepted at the time of booking or upon receipt of payment. Substitutions can be made at no cost to you. The following cancellation policy applies:

8.Textbooks: All textbooks and course manuals will be provided, unless otherwise noted. These become the property of the student.
9.Things to Bring to Class:
  1. Safety Shoes are mandatory for all laboratory work. It is a policy of the Canadian Institute for NDE that all students must wear safety shoes or boots during the practical lab sessions of our courses. If safety shoes are not worn, admission to the lab will be prohibited, you will not be allowed to participate in the practical portion of the course and it may lead to unsuccessful completion of the course.
  2. Scientific Calculator - Partipants are requested to have a calculator capable of scientific notation.
10.Classroom Hours: Unless otherwise notified, classes will be conducted from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily.
11.Attendance: The student must attend 100% of the course to be eligible to meet CGSB requirements. The attendance of the student shall be included in the course documentation.
12.Curriculum: CINDE reserves the right to alter the curriculum as noted for any program with the intent of improving the course.
13.Certificates: Certificates will be issued to each student who successfully completes the course, including attendance requirements. The criteria for successful completion is that the student must meet the attendance requirements and attain the following:
  • For all courses meeting CGSB requirements, the minimum grade shall be in accordance with the most current version of CAN/CGSB-48.9712
  • For Radiation Safety and CEDO Preparation, the minimum composite grade shall be 75%
  • For Weld Inspection and Quality Control, the minimum composite grade shall be 70% or most recent version of W178.2.
  • For all other courses, the minimum passing composite grade shall be 70%
14.CINDE Membership: Course fees include one year membership in CINDE, unless otherwise noted.
