Digital Radiography Training
Course prerequisite: Math examination, CGSB Level 2 or 3 Radiographer or equivalent
The Canadian Institute for Non-destructive Evaluation is proud to partner with GE Inspection Academy in the delivery of this 5-day (40-hour) course designed to provide students with the technical information required to properly operate and optimize various digital X-ray technologies in a production NDT environment. Daily tests and a final examination will be administered to ensure each student’s comprehension of the course material.
Course Highlights:
Digital Detector Array Flat Panel Digital Radiography (DDA/DR)
- General DDA/DR technology overview
- Detector comparisons and operation criteria
- Proper daily operation using pre-established digital X-ray techniques
- Basic image processing implementation and optimization procedures
- Substantial DDA/DR hands-on time in the applications lab
Computed Radiography (CR)
- General CR technology overview
- CR scanner comparisons and operation criteria
- Imaging plate comparisons and proper usage criteria
- Proper daily operation using pre-established digital X-ray techniques
- Basic image processing implementation and optimization procedures
- Substantial CR hands-on time in the applications lab
