This XRF training course is designed to introduce the student to XRF problem solving and investigation. The course aids you in knowing how to detect and determine the amount of elements within a substance. The course will cover the fundamentals of XRF, safety and hands-on practice. Basic principles and applications of XRF will be introduced through a lecture and practical workshop (lab). This course will cover NRCan's NDTC XRF Operator Program for theory and practical sections based on Health Canada Safety Code 32 and ISO 20807. It is a great starting point for any individual or company that is looking at integrating XRF technology into their business.
The training provided in this course is required to achieve XRF Operator Certification with the NDT Certifying Agency. Health Canada requires any individual that wants to operate or possess an open-beam x-ray emitting device within Canada to be certified with Natural Resources Canada-NDT Certifying Agency.

| October 15, 2024 One Day (3 Lecture Hours; 2 Lab Hours) -1 Day 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (8:30 am to 2:30 pm, lecture, safety, hands-on) (3:00 pm to 4:30 pm NRCan examination).
-3 Hours min. lecture, 1 hr min. Safety, 1 hour min hands practical.
-To sit and write the NRCan Examination for Level 1 or Level 2, Portable X-ray Fluorescence Operators Written Examination, all valid NRCan NDTCB applications must be submitted during the course. To pass the XRF examination, the CINDE training overview must be supplemented by the applicant's self-study materials. Prior to the CINDE training course, the applicant should take part in a period of self study of the XRF material that CINDE can supply or found on the NRCan XRF website.
-A CINDE course certificate will be issued to each attendee that completes 100% attendance of the course.
-For a combined Level 1 & 2, the course price will be $500, which includes both Level 1 and Level 2 exams.
-To apply for XRF Analyzer Operator Certification, candidate will need the following forms completed upon arrival to the course (signed and dated). The more complete the forms are will make the process of getting results back faster. These completed forms are sent with your exam to NRCan for processing.
