| Job Description/Requirements: • Examines parts under fluorescent or black lighting to detect surface defects using one of two methods: FPI (Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection) or (MAG) Magnetic Particle Inspection • Reviewing and assimilating work instructions relating to cleaning, etching, dwell/develop operations, inspection criteria, and record results • Provide detailed information concerning processing techniques, findings, evaluation of indications, and part condition/disposition recommendations • Set up and calibrate equipment, conduct tests using equipment and interpret, evaluate, and document inspection results • Create FPI and MPI Part specific techniques • Perform receiving inspections (before processing) as needed and immediately report any damage or discrepancy • Cleaning and etching of production parts in preparation for inspections • Application and removal of Fluorescent Penetrant Dye, dwell and develop processing in preparation for black light and white light inspections • Assist with (and perform as required) in internal and external system audits such as NADCAP, Primes (Boeing, Airbus, Bombardier, Bell Helicopter, etc) and CAPA (Corrective Action/Preventative Action) implementation. |
