Canada's NDT society offering training, certification testing, and professional membership to NDT PersonnelUltrasonic Testing Phased Array (UT-PA) Level 2
PREREQUISITE: Registrants must satisfy all prerequisites that pertain to this training course.
This CGSB certification course provides the in-depth knowledge phased array ultrasonic testing, instrumentation, and common applications.
The course covers:
- Principles of phased array physics, probes and instrumentation
- Digitization and data views
- Focal law types, steering and focusing
- Encoded scanning on welds and corrosion
- Data interpretation and analysis
EQUIPMENT REQUIRED: Training content is presented using the Evident Omniscan X4 32:64 platform. A limited number of Omniscan X4 32:64 units are available. Participants can provide their own phased array unit. Participants wishing to train on a different make or model must contact the training centre in advance.
APPLICABLE STANDARDS: This course meets the training syllabus requirements of CAN/CGSB-48.9712, ISO 9712 and SNT-TC-1A.
