Stu deWalle was a well-known Canadian figure and expert in the field of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT). He was highly recognized for his leadership within the Canadian Institute for Non-Destructive Evaluation (CINDE), where he served on the Board of Directors, as well as being a past president and contributor to the CSNDT (Canadian Society for Non-Destructive Testing) Journal.
Throughout his career, he was heavily involved in NDT research, training, and the unification of certification organizations in Canada. He was also a regular contributor to industry publications, penning articles and educational pieces for the CINDE Journal on topics ranging from technical practices to quality management systems. In recognition of his enduring contributions to the field, he was awarded the Canadian NDT Research Award.
