Canada's NDT society offering training, certification testing, and professional membership to NDT PersonnelUT Competition
Think you have what it takes to be Canada’s top UT technician? Join us at NDTiC 2027 | NDE 4.0 in Québec City for the 3rd UT Competition. This year the UT Competition will be organized by Paul Holloway and CWB Group.
Competitors will complete a series of ultrasonic testing challenges designed to evaluate accuracy, speed, and technical proficiency. The participant with the highest overall score will take home the Grand Prize: TBD.
If you have been accepted into the competition, please ensure you have purchased a valid Attendee, Presenter, or Exhibitor Pass. A conference pass is required to finalize your competition registration.
- Competitors will face off on plate and pipe shear wave weld inspections
- Equipment and transducers will be provided
- Flaw specimens provided
- Must be certified in Ultrasonics Level 2 or 3
- Must register and be a paid participant at the Conference as an Attendee, Exhibitor or Presenter
- Come and represent yourself and industry organization!
The competition will be done in four two hour sessions spread out between Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
The Grand Prize is TBD!
Registration can be done by applying here. A copy of your copy of ISO 9712 or ASNT or CGSB UT Level 2 certification will be needed so please upload the front and back of your certification card to Task #23 in your CINDE account.
